University of California, Berkeley, Head Men’s Golf Coach, 1979-2016 (Retired)
I was more than pleased when Russell Sadang asked me to write a statement about our professional and personal relationship. I was the Head Men’s Golf Coach at the University of California, Berkeley for 37 years, 1979-2016, when health issues forced my retirement. During that time, I worked with outstanding professionals in various fields, including the medical profession. These people included doctors, trainers, physical therapists, mental health personnel and others.
I was an active athlete in basketball and golf into my mid 60’s (I’m now 74) when both of my knees finally needed to be replaced over the last 2+ years. I worked with two different physical therapists, one for each knee, after the surgeries. They were both solid professionals and good guys.
I was eventually led to Russell because of a back issue as well as my left knee still being somewhat bothersome. We clicked immediately and Russell raised my care to another level. He quickly resolved my back issues but also helped both knees, adding strength and flexibility. Russell also has an understated sense of humor and we have developed a wonderful friendship over the last 12 to 18 months.
As I mentioned earlier, I have worked with many outstanding professionals in the health world over the years. Russell handles his responsibilities as a physical therapist at the highest level and, often with a big smile and plenty of laughter. He is an outstanding young man in every way, and I give Russell Sadang my highest recommendation.

I would like to recommend Russell Sadang, of Mobilized Physical Therapy, to you.
I recently reinjured my neck, from an auto accident that occurred years ago.
I was in extreme pain and unable to participate in and function comfortably in physical activities and not able to continue my fitness activities.
I sought medical help. My doctor referred me to Russell Padang, this was the beginning of a complete recovery.
I was surprised that his services were available in my home, bringing his expertise and equipment to me, in the privacy and comfort of my own home.
He is a top notch professional. He was very sensitive to my comfort in the process of strengthening and relaxing muscles. He checked in frequently during sessions to ensure my comfort level.
He always arrived on time, well prepared and highly professional. I appreciated the exercises he taught me to ensure my role in wellness.
It was a great experience and I recommend his services to you.
Because of his therapy and teaching I have had no recurring symptoms, no pain and have been able to return to my daily routine and have returned to the gym to maintain my fitness.

Russell worked with my husband, Bob, after a hip replacement. Attentive to his needs, he was knowledgeable and professional! Always punctual, we felt comfortable having him in our home.

I highly recommend Russell Sadang of "Mobilized Physical Therapy" for your physical therapy care. He is an excellent and highly skilled physical therapist. I have worked with him for almost eight months subsequent to an injury that required a complete "reverse" shoulder replacement. I was greatly impressed by his engaging personality, his skill in giving therapy, his professionalism, his deep caring, and his encouraging attitude toward me as his patient. He was thorough, thoughtful, conscientious, and inventive in prescribing exercises tailored to my specific needs. When I developed sciatica and balance issues secondary to my shoulder needs, he found solutions for me. Because he came to my home, I felt I was receiving a full hour of attentive care every time he arrived. Home physical therapy is, in my view, superior to going to a clinic where often the therapist only spends 20 or 30 minutes with each client and then turns on machinery that is supposed to help you (but often doesn't do that much!) Russell was an excellent observer and took the time to make sure I was doing my exercises correctly. He was also an encouraging "psychologist," helping me to have a positive attitude even when I felt discouraged. Definitely check out this enterprising young professional!! Naome Dragstedt

I need walking sticks to help me maintain my balance after a brain injury. So when I was facing the need for a shoulder replacement that would keep my arm in a sling for 6-8 weeks, my surgeon suggested I start PT before surgery to improvement my balance and identify the best assistive device to hold with my good hand.
I contracted with Russell Sadang, DPT because he would come to my home to provide PT services twice weekly.
I can not compliment his services highly enough. He had a wide variety of equipment that was used to improve my balance. Each week he would email me a variety of exercises with their videos and directions. He also gently stretched my shoulder and improved its range of motion. At the conclusion of 6 weeks, mybalance score improved from 42/56 to 51/56.
Russell was always professional, on time, and had a wealth of techniques to significantly improve my balance. I recommend him in the strongest terms.

I had a pretty bad knee injury in January. I dislocated my knee cap which led to a lot of injuries in my knee. After surgery in February I had PT but we got nowhere, I knew I needed to switch my PT, that is when I reached out to Russell.
Russell is super friendly and from the getgo I had a good feeling about the process. He pushed me to go further but never too far where I couldnt handle it. He is super motivating, always up for my jokes while in pain. He was always super respectful with the whole covid thing going on. He sanitizes everything after the visit! It was a very long journey and he was amazing. He gave me good advice and even helped with other equipment that helped me along the journey. I still need to build some muscles but I can walk again, walk up stairs, chase my toddler around, just simply life a normal life again. Thank you Russell for being so kind and just amazing at what you do. If I ever need physical therapy again, I know who to reach out to.

I was suffering from foot injury due to tennis. The pain started while playing when I had a bad foot landing. Russ listened to all my concerns and created a plan for me to exercise daily. I was able to steadily progress with each visit and regained strength to full function. I feel confident with my exercise and plan to continue even after recovery.

Dr.Sadang is the greatest PT I have ever had the pleasure of getting treated from. He truly cares about his patients by listening to everything we have to say. I had pain in my neck that would not resolve and Dr.Rus identified the cause of my pain and with a couple quick techniques I was completely pain free! I cannot say enough great things about how amazing Mobilized Physical Therapy is!!!

I had an ankle sprain in bouldering. I fell and twisted my ankle inwards. Russell was very supportive and helpful throughout the process. Regular checkups and exercises helped me to recover in a short period of time. His knowledge and friendly approach made me feel like I'm in good hands. Highly recommended!

Dr. Russell Sadang was my physical therapist previously at another organization. He was OUTSTANDING. What I appreciated most was his patience, helpful and educational explanations as to why he is asking you to do an acitivity, taking care to ask the right questions, active listening skills, very pleasant, respectful, and personable manner (though always professional) AND, of course, his physical therapy expertise. Russell is passionate about the profession and when he is with you, he focuses entirely on you. I would never hesitate having Russell as my P.T., and whoever is reading this should not either. Literally, you are in "good hands" with Russell.

I've needed a full left knee replacement for over a year now. Finally, on March 07, 2022 I was able to have the surgery performed.
Never having joint surgery before, I was fearful that no matter what therapy I had, it really was never going to be normal again.
My Ortho Doctor set me up with physical therapy and, Russell was my Physical Therapist. In short, this gentleman has a gift!
Russell worked with me at a very comfortable and appropriate pace with each session. His encouraging words and guidance helped me emotionally to understand, in time, "This too shall Pass".
He was patient, kind and educated me that if I followed his PT exercises & program, I would have normal use and mobility with my knee. I did as he said. I worked hard to follow his directions. This man was incredible the way he would nurture my knee and smooth out the scar tissue giving me more and more movement.
After roughly 16 sessions of Russell's PT, my knee is pain-free and feels back to normal. No limp, no problem in walking, running, kneeling or knee crackling. I am amazed and couldn't be happier.
And, to go one step further. In addition to my knee, I was also scheduled for a full right shoulder replacement which happened on June 27, 2022.
I asked Russell (really kind of begged) if he would please work with me again as he had a full calendar already. However, he advised he would do his best to make it happen.
Russell did get me on his calendar a few days after surgery. We are nearing the end of my shoulder PT now working on strength training. I'm now able to lift my arm straight up, forward, to my side without bending my elbow. Also, reach to my back.
I am thrilled and truly grateful to Russell for what he has given back to me. My confidence, an attitude that it's never too late to take care of yourself and never give up. And most of all, the dedication he has to me and, I'm sure to each individual person he comes in contact with. Bringing the best out in them due to the results they see with each session.
He is an ethical and genuine good man that you can trust in his advice.
A true professional in his field. That is his nature. His gift.
And, I am grateful that he shared it with me.

After my total knee replacement surgery, I was motivated yet tentative about physical therapy; uncertain about the pain/discomfort and doing too little or too much in my rehab. Russell Sadang of Mobilized Physical Therapy was the perfect professional to address my concerns. We worked together to identify my therapy goals and each session brought progress and added challenges to achieve mobility, strength, and agility. The exercises, motivation, and treatments Russell provided had me back dancing (hula) 3 months post-op, and I hiked the Alaka'i Trail in Kauai just one month after that! He is a great listener and a truly gifted healer.

I had a knee injury from cardio exercises. My physical therapist, Russell, was friendly, highly knowledgeable in his field, and he was willing to take the time to answer all my questions and walk me through the appropriate exercises needed for my injury. Now I feel no pain in my knee. If a future injury arises, I’ll be going back to Mobilized Physical Therapy. Thanks for all you do!

I injured my shoulder while skating which reduced my shoulder mobility in certain areas to practically zero. I used to be a regular on the bench at the gym, but I couldn't even lift the empty bar...
Mobilized Physical Therapy got me back on track in a couple of months to the point where I was able to hit a new record on the bench presses! I highly recommend their services!

I really enjoyed working with Russell. He is a great listener and very knowledgeable. He conducted a full baseline exam of the affected area and provided very helpful exercises to address pain. Shoulder issues I had had for years were resolved. I would (and will) use Russell as need in the future.

Russell is an excellent PT! I had a lower back and ankle issue that was keeping me from doing most of my usual activities, including hiking. Even standing for awhile was tough.
Russell taught me exercises that worked with my schedule and lifestyle and the equipment I had at home.
Having him come to the house was fantastic! He came before I started work at 8.
Russell was a great listener, understanding my goals and explaining what I could do for long-term health.
I am now back to a very active lifestyle and know the stretches and exercises that will keep me healthy and active.
I strongly recommend Russell.

I’m not a stranger to PT…..and I feel I got real lucky being assigned Russell Sadang post knee replacement surgery. Russel had to deal with a hospital’s administrative mistake which made me lose two weeks of PT. Not casting blame - he just charged ahead and caught up with the right amount of programming increases to catch up without me ever feeling overwhelmed. I WAS but I never felt overly taxed getting there. This man has great ‘bedside manners’…..he’s firm and fair and ‘funny’. And puts in the work. If you get an opportunity to work with him - congrats. You hit the jackpot!

An utterly amazing experience with PT. Russell is an expert in crafting a program that fits your unique needs. He keeps you motivated with his expert advice. He helped me through knee replacement then bursitis and then compression fractures. His follow up is superb and his in depth knowledge of the body inspires the utmost confidence.
